Serbia is the untapped gem of Eastern Europe, with multiple studio and backlot facilities, a globally experienced crew, and an easy to use 30% rebate. The countryside is dotted with never before seen locations from the Scottish looking highland steppe to the shimmering Montenegran riviera, from medieval castles to the urban Belgrade cityscape reminiscent of Berlin and Paris.
Leading Stillking WIP’s Belgrade team is Andjelka “Angie” Vlaisavljevic, founder of Work in Progress who opened the door to international production in Serbia in 2007 with Rian Johnson’s Brother’s Bloom. Prior to opening WIP, Angie lived in Los Angeles, earning her M.F.A. at UCLA’s School of Film and Television. She worked on staff at Tapesty Films and as a freelance UPM on numerous feature films in the U.S., Mexico, Italy, UK, and Australia. WIP recently completed its second film with Rian Johnson, the Netflix hit Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
